This ambitious Belgian attended and instructed at the Jim Russel driving school to finance his early career. He won the 1974 STP Formula Ford championchip and moved to Formula 3 in 1975. Neve's Formula 1 career started when he drove for the RAM Brabham and Ensign teams in 1976 before switching to the fledgeling Williams GP Engineering squad the following year with a private March.
